About Me

I moved to Philadelphia, PA on July 5, 2006, and updated my home address, my work address, my last name (just got married), and naturally, my blog: BaLtiMoRe RoLL became PhiLLy RoLL. Before Philadelphia, I lived in Baltimore (MD), and before that, Brooklyn (NY), Hartford (CT), Hopkinton (MA), Hurley (NY), and Rochester (NY).

I try to maintain a shred of anonymity for the sake of never being googled by potential employers, so I don't use my real name (or my husband's) on this blog and I try not to talk about my work. I'll mostly be writing about our new life in Philadelphia - what we're doing, seeing, and eating.

So what do I like to do? Just about anything that involves exploring. Hopefully we won't make the same mistake we made in Baltimore of not really seeing the city we live in, while spending our time traveling everywhere else.

As for what I'm seeing, you can literally see it all through my eyes - I always carry my camera with me.

And as for what I'm eating, my not-so-secret preference is always for sushi. (However, although I named this blog PhiLLy RoLL, I have to admit that I am not a big fan of this sushi roll, which contains smoked salmon and cream cheese. I love it on a bagel, but not wrapped in nori.) But Philly has a lot of restaurants, so I'm sure we'll get a little kimchi here, a little biryani there, etc. (Of course, suggestions are welcome!)
