Nutso

I often rave about how wonderful Squeakles' language skills are, but of course, I think his mistakes are just as wonderful (ly funny).

They are also impossible to correct. Lately he's been saying some words that start with "m" as if they start with "n". For example, this weekend we ate "nutso ball soup" (matzo ball soup).

And yesterday he thought I gave him spaghetti with "neatballs". I tried to make it reaaallllly clear that it's meatballs, so I got down at his level, made sure he was looking at me and said "muh- muh- muh- meatball!" He excitedly repeated "nuh- nuh- nuh- neatball!" I gave up and let him rave about "pasta with neatball" as he ate his lunch.

Then last night as I was putting him to bed I sang "On Top of Spaghetti" and when I was done he called out "nuh- nuh- nuh- neatball!"
